An interview with a collector of bullion coins
One day I was asked to write a short article for a teen magazine. It was a magazine for young girls so and it focused mainly around fashion, actors and actresses, gossip and music. I had to offer something within this spectrum. However, I still wished to write something original. I decided to arrange an interview with an actor and talk to him about his life and career. I chose an actor who was quite popular among teenagers and also considered very handsome, but seemed to be a bit eccentric person. I was right, he was different than other teenagers. He collected stamps and bullion coins. He was also a fencer. He took up this sport when he was only five years old and has won several international championships since then. Of course, his career as an actor has always been in the foreground so nobody knew him as a sportsman. I though the readers would be quite surprised. As I was talking with the actor, he let me take some photos of his gold bullion collection. I also took a couple of photos of him showing some fencing actions. I thought the editorial staff would like the interview, but I was wrong. My article was not accepted. It was not as good as an inerview with a famous American singer. I read it in the magazine a few weeks later. It was boring and badly written, to be honest.
